Camp Carnelley’s

About Us

Carnelley’s is a tranquil campsite with beautiful bushy grounds. The monkeys swing from the trees and the hippos graze on the pier. Over the years Camp Carnelley’s has become one of the most famous locations on Lake Naivasha.

We are not just a campsite, we have it all from accommodation, “Lazybones” bar and restaurant, onsite activities and activities located right beside our camp.

It is an ideal environment for families with activities such as boat riding, hiking, bird watching, cycling, fishing and much more.

Great place to eat when visiting Naivasha. Situated right on the lake, just near the bird of prey sanctuary. Good food, not expensive, and super friendly staff.

Another one! *Insert DJ Khaled voice* Camo Carnelly's is another culinary gem tucked away in Naivasha. The restaurant sits on camping grounds overlooking Lake Naivasha. The food was very tasty, you can tell it's been prepared with a lot of skill and love. Highly recommend.

Really nice restaurant with a lovely view and tasty food. The samosas (especially the beef ones) were excellent. Also the traditional beef stew with the chapati and rice was delicious.

The place is beautiful with a warm reception, spacious with open view of a park like setting that comss with bandas and camping site. the food is delicious and cooked to the specifications of the guest, clientele is mixed black ,white ,Asians and Indians most are tourist visiting Naivasha. The place overlooks Lake Naivasha with access to the lake front view via footpath they also offer boat services to explore the lake at approximately three thousand five hundred per person for an hour. You should try their special dishes. Photo credit to all owners.

A nice and basic place to stay during your visit of lake Naivasha. They organize boat trips and can help you organize a trip to hell's gate

Have been here a few times over the years, always loved it, beautiful place. However, sadly they have got a bit greedy in the last year and with a massive price jump it no longer represents good value for money. 16k for a banda, 10k for a boat to Crescent Island... there are plenty of beautiful places around the lake offering the same at almost half the price... including one just next door.

The place always gets better. We visited here with my colleagues for dinner .The staff are so good and the place has a great menu that suits everyone regardless. The set up is also great with some cosy couches and a fireplace for the cold nights. It's a to go joint if you love you're alone as well, they got very good acoustic music on the background.Y'all should try

Decent place to stay in a single / twin room if a little pricey at 6000. Fisherman's next door has an equal restaurant with cheaper food and beer. And fisherman's have Wi-Fi which Carnellys does not.Oxtail stew at Carnelley's was excellent.

Serene and peaceful natural environment. My Swahili curry meal could have been better. The fish and chapati was okay, the rice rather bland. An almost invsible waiter was my encouragement to leave without a dessert.
